Success of I Społeczna Szkoła Podstawowa in the “Connect the Dots” Competition

We are delighted to announce that I Społeczna Szkoła Podstawowa im. Unii Europejskiej in Zamość has been recognized among the winners of the nationwide competition “Połącz kropki” (“Connect the Dots”). The school received a distinction for the student film “Where to Find Endorphins?”, which can be viewed  https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1Fb7N1WD45/

The “Połącz kropki” competition was aimed at primary schools across Poland, with the goal of showing how knowledge from different fields can be creatively connected. The challenge was not an easy one, as all submitted films stood out for their ingenuity and originality. The jury had a difficult task, but it was the students from Zamość who impressed with their fresh perspective on endorphins – the natural “hormones of happiness.”

The film presented in a very accessible way what endorphins are, where they come from, and why it is worth ensuring their presence in everyday life. It combined solid knowledge with humor and positive energy that quickly spreads to the viewer.

A special highlight of the film was the guest appearance of NAO, the humanoid robot that regularly supports teachers and students at our school in the learning process. Thanks to the Erasmus+ project “My Robot, My LearnMate”, NAO has become not only an assistant in learning mathematics, foreign languages, or programming, but also… a film actor!

Its presence in the production gave the project a unique character and showed how modern technologies can become part of students’ creative activities.

The organizers of the competition awarded I Społeczna Szkoła Podstawowa a well-deserved distinction, emphasizing both the substantive value of the film and the creativity of the students and their teachers. – We congratulate the students and their mentors for their remarkable commitment and fresh perspective on the topic of endorphins. This is proof that learning can be an exciting adventure, and school a place where knowledge meets creativity – the competition statement read.

This success is yet another proof that Zamojskie Szkoły Społeczne are a space where education takes on a new dimension. It is here that technological innovations merge with the passion of students and teachers, inspiring them to explore the world in many different ways.
