NAO Humanoid Robot, OpenAI, and Virtual Reality Glasses Are Transforming Education: Best Practices Presented at Teacher Conferences

Geography teacher Danijela Perenc-Jaušovec, ICT teacher Ivana Ružić, and 7th-grade student Eugen Janković took part in professional conferences for geography teachers, ICT teachers, and school librarians, where they delivered an interactive lecture and workshop and presented inspiring examples of best practices.

Their presentation focused on the integration of the NAO humanoid robot connected to the OpenAI platform, along with the use of virtual reality glasses in the classroom. Through real-life scenarios, students were engaged in learning in a highly interactive, motivating, and technologically advanced way, which sparked great interest and positive feedback from attendees.

They demonstrated how the use of robotics and artificial intelligence can enrich teaching, promote critical thinking, collaboration, and the development of digital competencies, while making lessons more dynamic and relevant to today’s learners.

A particularly memorable moment was the contribution of student Eugen, who shared his personal experience and perspective, emphasizing how this approach helps him learn and develop a passion for science and technology.

This successful collaboration between teachers and students is a powerful example of how enthusiasm and creativity can bring the future of education into today’s classrooms.
